The FC Moscow have announced that they are in a bit of financial dire as they have failed to secure the much needed sponsorship deals. The owner of the Russian team is owned by Norilsk Nickel, a metal company that operates in the northern Russian city of Norilsk.

The company failed to pursued the city to invest in Moscow. Due to these complications the FC Moscow announced that they will be pulling out of the Russian Soccer League. It may however be not too late to find other sponsorship offers before the season starts next month. All they need is a local or foreign company willing to spot them a few million to tie them through th season.

Finding good stable funding has been a big problem for many soccer clubs around the world after the recent economic meltdown. Manchester United felt recent pressures after learning that AIG will no longer be sponsoring their team after next season. Perhaps we will see more and more teams fold until things begin to stabilize economically around the world.
